Share the Bounty Food Drive – As we begin the Lenten season, I am launching this food drive. We have two places in town that provide food for those who are in need, The Exeter Food Bank, and Noah’s Ark and Community Table.
The Exeter Food Bank is a food pantry that provides enough groceries for a family for one week (five days) once a month. Currently Trivitt provides a fully prepared Christmas meal for the clients of the Food Bank and have generously donated food to the bank.
Noah’s Ark and Community Table provides a multitude of supports. I had the privilege of touring both facilities and meeting the volunteers. They most definitely have a heart for doing God’s work.
They are in need of the following items: Kids snacks, Canned soup, Tuna, Condiments of any kind, Pancake mix, Syrup, Applesauce, Oil, Crackers, Canned vegetables, Toilet paper.
I am hoping that during the season of Lent you will consider placing a couple of these items in your shopping cart and donate them. Please bring your items to church on Sunday; there will be a bin inside the church for you to place them in. Donations may also be dropped off at Trivitt Mondays-Thursdays from 10:00 - 1:00 p.m. until March 30.
